President establishes special unit for complaints on Moragahakanda

A special unit has been established to submit complaints of fraud, corruption and malpractices relating to construction work of the Moragahakanda-Kalu Ganga Development Project, the Presidential Secretariet said yesterday. 

This unit has been set up to fulfil a promise made by the President to swiftly establish this unit, at the water filling ceremony of the Kalu Ganga reservoir on 23 July.

The construction of the Moraghakanda-Kalu Ganga Reservoir, which is the largest multipurpose development project in Sri Lanka, is being built at a cost of Rs. 23 billion.
