President intervenes to provide employment to late Vidya Sivaloganathan’s sister

President Maithripala Sirisena handed over a letter of appointment to Nishanthi Sivaloganathan, a graduate of the University of Jaffna, and the elder sister of Vidya Sivaloganathan who was brutally murdered in Jaffna in January 2015.

This letter of appointment was handed over to her, fulfilling a promise made by the President when he visited the residence of Vidya during a tour in Vavuniya last year.

The Vidya Foundation Vice President and veteran actress Swineetha Weerasinghe, and Vidya’s mother Saraswathi Sivaloganathan, were present during this occasion.
