President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will undertake his inaugural overseas visit to India in the third week of December, following an invitation from the Indian Government.
Cabinet Spokesman and Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa confirmed the visit during the post-Cabinet meeting media briefing held yesterday.
“The dates are not yet fixed, but it will be in the last week of December,” he added.
The Cabinet Spokesman also disclosed that the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka has also invited President to visit China. However, details regarding timeline for this visit have yet be finalised, he said.
