Prime Minister instructs District Secretaries to expedite development programs

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has focused his attention on expediting the development programs of the Government, and accordingly, a special discussion was held between the Prime Minister and District Secretaries at Temple Trees.

At the meeting, progress made in the development projects and other development activities undertaken under the Gamperaliya program was discussed. Discussions focused on how to speed up the work on these development projects.

Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government Minister Vajira Abeywardena, Ports, Shipping and Southern Development Minister Sagala Ratnayake, State Minister of National Policy and Economic Affairs Niroshan Perera, State Minister of Finance Eran Wickramaratne, State Minister of Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government J. C. Alawathuwala, Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake and Secretaries of several Ministries also participated in the discussion.
