Rajitha files anticipatory bail application fearing arrest

• Speculation that former Minister could be arrested in connection with white van allegations
• Two men who made allegations already in custody

Former Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne filed an anticipatory bail application at that Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court yesterday, seeking to prevent his arrest.

The anticipatory bail application was filed amidst speculation that Senaratne is to be taken into custody over his links to two men who spoke on white van abductions, at a press conference organised by him prior to the Presidential Election.
