Speculated to cross over to the Government benches the Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Rajitha Senaratne said President Ranil Wickremesinghe had stabilised the country to a certain extent by providing solutions to immediate issues faced by the people.

Appreciating the efforts taken by the President to provide cooking gas, fuel and food without shortage, he noted that the public is also acknowledging the role played by President Wickremesinghe in bringing back some normalcy to the overall economy.

However, he claimed that health is one important sector which has not seen any progress thus far.

MP Senaratne did not provide an affirmative response to claims that he is seeking to join the Government.

“President Wickremesinghe is no stranger to me. I have worked under him under multiple Governments,” he added.
