President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Thursday evening met the out-going President of the Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in capital Male.
During the meeting, Solih and Wickremesinghe spoke extensively about the current state of affairs in Sri Lanka and how the nation is gradually emerging from the recent recession. They also discussed the Government of Sri Lanka’s present and future goals to expand the country’s economy.
Solih additionally expressed gratitude to his Sri Lankan counterpart for collaborating to solidify their bilateral ties further, which included concluding several bilateral agreements under his administration.
Wickremesinghe also conveyed appreciation for the aid and support provided by the Maldives during a time of need. They concluded the call by extending their best wishes and prosperity to the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
