Regional Conference on Advancing BIMSTEC Cooperation organised by Delhi Policy Group in Colombo

High Commissioner of India Taranjit Singh Sandhu delivered the keynote address at the Regional Conference on Advancing BIMSTEC Cooperation organised by Delhi Policy Group in Colombo. 

Central Bank of Sri Lanka Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaras wamy; Ministry of Foreign Affairs State Secretary Grace Asirwatham; Delhi Policy Group Director General Amb. H.K. Singh, Amb. Biren Nanda, and Amb. Sumith Na Kandala were present. 

The High Commissioner highlighted importance of BIMSTEC to fulfil India’s key foreign policy priorities of ‘Neighbourhood First’ and ‘Act East’. The High Commissioner added that India’s partnership goes beyond the numbers and is focused on people-oriented projects that touch the lives of citizens of Sri Lanka.
