Renuka Perera has been appointed as the new Chairman of the State-run dairy producer and marketer MILCO Ltd., replacing Lasantha Wickramasinghe.
The appointment came few hours after former Chairman Wickramasinghe announced that MILCO has decided to increase the amount paid to dairy farmers by Rs. 5 from 1 February.
Perera is the Administrative Secretary of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
