The report on restructuring the power sector is expected to be submitted to the National Council within two weeks, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said.
The National Council which convened under the patronage of Speaker of House Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena deliberated on several matters related to the energy sector.
“A discussion was held on the power sector reforms and policies with the members of the National Council at the Parliament on Thursday. The report on the proposed power sector reforms will be presented to the National Council,” Wijesekera tweeted yesterday. The proposed power generation projects are also expected to be submitted to the National Council within two weeks.
