Rohan Pallewatta joins SJB

Former Presidential candidate and Lanka Harness Executive Chairman Rohan Pallewatta with SJB leader Sajith Premadasa

Former Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party of Sri Lanka (SDPSL) and entrepreneur, Rohan Pallewatta joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) yesterday.

Pallewatta met opposition leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday and is expected to be appointed to the SJB Working Committee, party sources said.  

According to the SJB, Pallewatta is also tipped to hold a leading position in the party’s Foreign and Trade Policy formulation committee and hold an advisory role. Pallewatte is the Executive Chairman of Lanka Harness Co., a leading automotive component manufacturer in the country.
