Rotary Club organises ’Keeping Sri Lanka Polio Free’

Rotary District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldives has organised Keeping Sri Lanka Polio Free to mark International Polio Day with the support of the Ministry of Health, World Health Organisation and UNICEF. It will be held on 26 October at 2 p.m. at the Lanka Foundation Institute, Colombo 7. 

Polio Parade will begin at Lanka Foundation Institute premises at 4 p.m., ending at Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo 3, and Carnival Night at Green Path from 6. 30 p.m. onwards with live music, food stalls and fellowship.

Rotary District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldives also launched a T-shirt in connection with International Polio Day, launched by Rotary District Governor Sebastian Karunakaran at the media briefing in Colombo. PolioPlus Chairman and Past District Governor Imran Hassen and Assistant Governor and Polio Committee Member Marshad Barry were also present.
