Sri Lanka received 100,000 rapid antigen test kits worth Rs. 110 million from India on Tuesday, the Health Ministry stated.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry, a list of medicines and essential medical equipment necessary for the next two quarters have been prepared and measures will be taken to procure these from countries like India and China.
The Health Ministry added that measures will also be taken to ensure there is no shortage of drugs in the country.
Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella states that there are stocks of nine million vaccines and 90% of school children have been vaccinated to date.
