SLAF CBRNE Wing continues quarantine measures of arriving passengers at BIA

The Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Wing of the SLAF continues to assist in the quarantine and disinfecting effort hand-in-hand with medical teams at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) which is the main air transportation hub of the island.

All passengers arriving from countries which are required to be quarantined are properly disinfected and handed over to SL Army personnel who transport them to respective quarantine facilities.

Air Force Commander Air Marshal Sumangala Dias also visited Air Force Troops deployed at the BIA on Sunday. BIA SLAF Station Commanding Officer Air Commodore Janaka Amarasinghe and SLAF CBRNE Wing Commanding Officer Wing Commander Nilendra Perera also participated for the visit where they briefed the Air Force Commander on the present situation at the Airport.
