SLFP Vice President Faiszer Musthapha yesterday resigned from the SLFP and all posts he held within the party. 

In his resignation letter to SLFP Chairman Maithripala Sirisena, Musthapha criticised the party leadership and said it has failed to take any political decision that would lead to its advancement in recent times. He noted that it has come to his realisation it would be far more beneficial to engage in his legal practice than continue a career in politics going forward.
