SLFP suspends rebel MP Bandara for taking State Ministership

Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) yesterday suspended MP Shantha Bandara.

The move comes after Bandara accepted the portfolio of State Minister of Agriculture by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. He succeeded Shasheendra Rajapaksa who resigned earlier on.

SLFP also suspended Bandara from roles as the party’s Assistant Secretary, publicity secretary, and Chief Organiser of Yapahuwa.
