Sajith criticises Govt. inability to contain COVID-19

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Leader and former Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday echoed the Opposition’s criticism of the Government’s control of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Speaking at a political gathering, Premadasa charged that the Government was obsessed with obtaining a two-thirds majority in Parliament and had placed politics before the wellbeing of the public.

He said that the Government should take responsibility for the new surge in COVID-19 patients and the resulting risk to society and the economy.
