Scheduled power cuts to continue despite rains

• From 15-18 June 2-hour and 15-minute power cut countrywide
• 14 and 19 June will experience a 1-hour power cut in lieu of Poson poya and Father’s Day 

The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced that a two-hour and 15-minute power cut will be imposed countrywide till 18 June given the fuel and water shortage.

The power cut duration will be enforced in all areas.

As per the schedule, 20 areas from A to W will experience power cuts between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m. countrywide.

However, the CEB said power cuts on 14 and 19 June will be limited to one-hour between 5.30 p.m. and 10.00 a.m. in lieu of Poson and Father’s Day.
