Health authorities yesterday stated that the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination will commence today.
“The second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine will commence [today]. We began administering the first dose to frontline health workers and the second dose will be administered in the same order,” State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Channa Jayasumana said.
According to him, frontline health workers will receive the second dose of the vaccine in the next two weeks, after which frontline military personnel will receive the vaccine.
