Service for victims of Easter Sunday bomb attack in Oslo, Norway

Bernt Ivar Eidsvig, the Catholic Bishop of Oslo, and Father Bharath Villavarayen, originally from Sri Lanka, led the service for the St. John the Apostle and Evangelist congregation in Bredtvet Church to commemorate the victims of the Easter Sunday bomb attack in Sri Lanka. 

King Harald V of Norway, the Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg, the Bishop of Oslo among other Bishops, Reverends of all faiths, members from the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ambassadors, were among the people who were present at this well attended mass. 

Welcoming people to the service, Father Bharath Villavarayen said they had come together to commemorate those affected by the attacks. Addresses were also given during the service by the Bishop of Oslo, and the Prime Minister of Norway. This was followed by short addresses from a number of religious leaders, and community leaders. Ambassador Arusha Cooray concluded by sympathising with the families of the victims, and thanking everyone for their condolences and solidarity.
