Six COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed six COVID-19 fatalities on Sunday and Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 16,465.

Five COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday were over 60 years and one was between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Sunday. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.27% of the total COVID-19 deaths are from the over-60 age group, 22.41% are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.31% are from the under-30 age group.

Four COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday were male and two were female. Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 9,287 are male and 7,178 are female.
