Six killed, 52 injured in Kalutara bus collision

Six passengers were killed and 52 others were injured when two buses collided head-on at Waskaduwa in Kalutara yesterday.

Police said a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus travelling towards Colombo from Elpitiya had collided with a private bus travelling towards Galle at around 5.15 a.m.

Three men and three women were declared dead, while the injured, including 43 men, 8 women and a child, are receiving treatment at the Nagoda Hospital.
