Special traffic plan from today in lieu of Independence Day rehearsals

The Police Department yesterday announced that a special traffic plan will be in place in Colombo from today till 3 February in lieu of rehearsals for the 74th Independence Day celebrations.

Rehearsals for the Independence Day parade will take place between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Independence Day celebrations on 4 February, will commence at 6 a.m. at the Independence Square, Colombo 7.

The Police Department issuing a statement said vehicular movement will be restricted sporadically around Independence Square owing to the rehearsals.
