Sri Lanka-Papua New Guinea Friendship Foundation condemns acts of terrorism in Sri Lanka

  • The following statement has been released by Sri Lanka-Papua New Guinea Friendship Foundation President Panditha Bandara (ML).

 

“The Sri Lanka-Papua New Guinea Friendship Foundation is profoundly saddened to learn of the horrendous acts of terrorism which took place on Easter Sunday at three churches and four hotels causing the loss of 350 innocent lives and injuring nearly 500 people. 

The Foundation condemns this barbaric act and all forms of terrorism in the strongest of terms and we stand firm with the Government and fellow Sri Lankans at this tragic time. 

“The Sri Lanka-Papua New Guinea Friendship Foundation expresses its heartfelt sorrow and deepest condolences to the grieving family members of the victims. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. 

“Our prayer:

May their soul rest in peace.

May they attend Nibbana.

Speedy recovery of all the injured.”
