Sri Lanka, Russia to enhance bilateral security cooperation

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev has met with Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of Sri Lanka Kamal Gunaratne in Moscow, the Security Council said on Thursday.

“Issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of security, including military-technical cooperation, were discussed,” the statement said.

Patrushev and Gunaratne reaffirmed their intention to intensify cooperation between the two countries through the security councils of Russia and Sri Lanka.
