Sri Lanka produced a thrilling victory against Australia today to level the two Test match series at Galle. Australia trailing 190 runs was bowled out for 151 giving Sri Lanka a win by an innings and 39 runs. Debutant Prabath Jayasuriya took 6 for 59 completing the match with 12 wickets for 177. It was the best ever performance by a Sri Lankan bowler in a debut and fourth best bowling figures on Test debut in the history of the game. Earlier in the day, Dinesh Chandimal scored 206 off 326 balls with 16 fours and five sixes enabling Sri Lanka score a winning 554.
