Sri Lanka’s Independence Day celebration in Oslo

The Embassy of Sri Lanka held a flag hoisting ceremony to celebrate the Sri Lanka Independence Day on 4 February at the Chancery in Oslo. The Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Samanmali Atalugama read the President’s speech at the Independence Day ceremony and addressed the gathering. 

Multi-faith religious observances were conducted invoking blessings on the people and the country. Sri Lanka expatriates from all the ethnic communities participated at the ceremony. The Chargé d’Affaires a.i hosted a dinner to all participants at the conclusion of the ceremony.
