Sri Lankan in Switzerland dies of COVID-19

The Foreign Relations Ministry yesterday confirmed that a Sri Lankan had died of COVID-19 in Switzerland.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Berlin had informed the Ministry that the Swiss authorities had confirmed that the Sri Lankan aged 59 years who died in Switzerland on 25 March was tested positive for COVID-19.

The deceased was from Punkuduthivu in the Northern Province and held residence permit in Switzerland, the Foreign Relations Ministry said.
