Stock market rebounds

The Colombo stock market today showed strong signs of rebound though volume remained below par. As at noon, the active S&PSL20 Index had gained by 10% and the benchmark ASPI was up near 5%. Turnover was Rs. 1.3 billion involving 91.4 million shares. The previous two days the market closed within minutes of opening after crashing by 10%.
