Talaimannar and Colombo intercity train service in Sept.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday announced the launch of an intercity train service between Thalaimnnar and Colombo from 15 September.

Speaking at the annual festival of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Madhu in Mannar, the President said the express service will enhance connectivity and facilitate smoother travel between the two cities.

He said the initiative was in response to the request of MP Charles Nirmalanathan.
