Two COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed two COVID-19 fatalities on Thursday and Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll is 16,452.

One COVID-19 death confirmed on Thursday was from the over-60 age group and 76.29% of the total COVID-19 deaths are from this age group. The Epidemiology Unit states that 22.4% of the total COVID-19 deaths are from the 30 to 59 age group, from which one COVID-19 death was confirmed on Thursday.

Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Thursday and 1.31% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are from this age group. A total of 9,279 COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date are male and 7,173 are female. One COVID-19 fatality confirmed on Thursday was male and one was female.
