Two COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed two COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday and the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 16,488.

Both COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Wednesday were over 60 years. The over-60 age group accounts for 76.27% of the total COVID-19 deaths, while 22.41% COVID-19 deaths are from the 30 to 59 age group and 1.32% deaths are from the under-30 age group.

One COVID-19 death confirmed on Wednesday was male and the other was female. Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 9,304 are male and 7,184 are female.
