Two COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed two COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 16,499.

Both COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were over 60 years. This age group accounts for 76.28% of the total COVID-19 deaths. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 22.4% of the COVID-19 deaths are between 30 and 59 years and 1.32% are below 30 years.

A total of 9,312 COVID-19 deaths confirmed in the country are male and 7,187 are female. The two COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male.
