Two SriLankan Airlines flights, which were due to land at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake, were diverted to the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (HRI) last morning due to inclement weather conditions in the vicinity of BIA.

Accordingly, Flight UL 230 from Kuwait (KWI) to Colombo (CMB) and Flight UL266 from Riyadh (RUH) to Colombo (CMB) had been diverted to Mattala Airport.

The passenger flights are expected to land at BIA once the weather conditions at the Katunayake Airport improve. The estimated time of departure from Mattala will be notified in due course, the airline said.
