UAE firm gets contracts to supply diesel, crude oil

Coral Energy DMCC Company of United Arab Emirates has been awarded the contract to supply diesel for the next eight months and crude oil for seven months.

Cabinet approved the proposal by Power Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi to award the contract after bids were called from registered suppliers to award the long-term contract of import of diesel (maximum Sulphur percentage of 0.05) for eight months from 1 March to 31 October.

The special procurement standing committee appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers had recommended to award the relevant procurement to Coral Energy DMCC Company.

Separately the Cabinet also awarded the long-term contract for the supply of crude oil for the period of seven months from 1 June to 31 December to the same company following the recommendation by the Cabinet-appointed standing procurement Committee.
