UAE-funded sewing machines for Wayamba women

At the request of North Western Province Governor A.J.M. Muzammil, the Charge d’ Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Sri Lanka Humaid Al Tamimi presented sewing machines to the ‘Kantha Saviya’ Women’s Organisation led by Ferouza Muzammil.

Sewing machines worth Rs. 1 million donated through the Women Encouragement Project operating under the United Arab Emirates Aid were distributed among 23 low income families who are members of the Kurunegala branch of ‘Kantha Saviya’.

North Western Province Governor A.J.M Muzzammil, Charge d’ Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Srilanka Humaid Al Tamimi, President of ‘Kantha Saviya’ Women’s Organisation Ferouza Muzammil and members of Pradeshiya Sabha were present at this occasion.
