The US delegation led by Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) Donald Lu met with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
The delegation included representatives from key agencies such as the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Department of Treasury.
Taking to ‘X’ US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Julie Chung stated that meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was productive and discussed on multiple areas.
“We had a productive discussion on Sri Lanka’s priorities strengthening cooperation in education, agriculture, anti-corruption measures and equitable economic growth,” the Ambassador added.
She also noted that US Treasury Deputy Assistant Secretary Robert Kaproth, reaffirmed US support for Sri Lanka’s reform agenda.
