Ven. Thiniyawela Palitha Thera withdraws case against Cabraal

The private plaint filed by Ven. Thiniyawela Palitha Thera against former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal was taken up yesterday before the Fort Magistrates Court.

As per the order given by the Magistrate on the previous date of the case, the complainant was to file an amended plaint as undertaken by him.

However, he failed to do so, and instead his Counsel Maithri Gunaratne informed Court that the complainant is withdrawing the complaint.

Accordingly, the Magistrate terminated the proceedings.
