Litro Gas Chairman Engineer Vijitha Herath has resigned from his post as Chairman with immediate effect.

The resignation announcement came in after less than two months in the job.

On 21 April Herath was appointed as the Chairman of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd., after its former Chief Theshara Jayasinghe resigned on 14 April, accusing the gas supplier of institutional corruption and other irregularities.

Prior to his appointment at Litro Gas, Engineer Herath held the Chairmanship of Sri Lanka Insurance and Ceylon Electricity Board.
