Vinod K. Jacob appointed as India’s next envoy to Bahrain

Vinod K. Jacob presently Deputy High Commissioner, High Commission of India, Colombo has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He is expected to take up the assignment shortly. Jacob belongs to the 2000 batch of the Indian Foreign Service. He has served in Beijing and New York (Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations). At headquarters, he has served as Desk Officer on China as well as Director (Deputy Director General level) in the division dealing with Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
