Youth leaders of leading political parties will converge together today evening for the first time to have their say on future of Sri Lanka at a unique forum organised by the Colombo University MBA Alumni Association and the Daily FT.
The forum titled ‘Future of Sri Lanka: View of political NextGen’ today at 6.30 p.m. at The Kingsbury will feature five young political leaders. They are Eranga Gunasekera from the JVP, Janagan Vinayagamoorthy from DPF, Milinda Rajapaksha from SLPP, Rasika Jayakody from UNP and Raghu Balachandran from TNA. The session will be moderated by Daily FT Editor Nisthar Cassim.
Five young leaders will share insights to what they expect from a new leadership from a business perspective and to define the vision they have for the nation. They have widely differing views and are expected to explain to the public what they think is the best and most successful remedy for all the economic and social ills the country faces.
Colombo University Senior Professor H.D. Karunaratne will keynote the forum whilst political activist Jeevani Kariyawasam and MBA Alumni Association President Manohari Abeysekera will speak as well. Other partners of the forum are NextGenSL – the public debate, Print Point.
