Zero COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll remains unchanged at 16,504, with zero COVID-19 fatalities confirmed for two consecutive days.

According to health officials, no COVID-19 deaths occurred on Wednesday and Thursday.

Of the COVID-19 deaths confirmed to date, 9,316 are male and 7,188 are female. The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.28% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.4% are between 30 and 59 years and 1.31% are below 30 years.
