A Sri Lankan passenger was arrested

A Sri Lankan passenger was arrested by Custom officers with six gold slabs weighting 600 g valued at three million rupees concealed in his rectum at the Bandaranaike International Airport, last Saturday.  He arrived from Chennai. After the custom inquiry held by Deputy Director of Customs Mr. J.V.U. Dharshana Silva forfeited the gold slabs and imposed a penalty of Rs. 200,000. -  Pi by Kumarasiri Prasad – Airport Correspondent.
