Information technology facilities at Parliament were enhanced last week, aiming to increase the productivity and efficiency of members.
With the new facilities coming into place, all members will receive an email address and computers and printers will be installed in Government as well as Opposition lobbies for MPs.
A secured gateway has also been established for the members to access questions and answers, bills and acts, committee reports and proceedings, legislative information, and other related data.
“The members who find themselves with insufficient knowledge on IT should request the Secretary General to arrange assistance,” stated Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa.
