Australian High Commissioner pays courtesy call on Deputy Speaker

High Commissioner for Australia in Sri Lanka Bryce Hutchesson paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Speaker and the Chairman of Committees Thilanga Sumathipala, on Tuesday. The High Commissioner was accompanied by the Second Secretary Nicholas Burnett. 

The cordial discussions held focused on the long-standing friendly ties and bilateral relations that exist between the two countries, as well as cricket, a sport that is a passion among the Australians and Sri Lankans.

High Commissioner Hutchesson also pledged to bring in investment into Sri Lanka in addition to mooting higher education for Sri Lanka students in Australia.
