Bahrain continues to strengthen bilateral relations with Sri Lanka

Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain, welcoming the steady growth of ties with Sri Lanka across a range of areas, has reiterated its commitment to further enhance trade relations and cultural exchange with the South Asian nation.

Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has said that the Kingdom is continuing to strengthen bilateral relations with Sri Lanka, when Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Dr. A. Saj U. Mendis, met the Prince at Gudaibiya Palace Thursday (18 February).

He welcomed the newly appointed Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Kingdom, and wished him every success in his new diplomatic assignment.

During the meeting, Prince Salman welcomed the steady growth of ties between Bahrain and the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka across a range of areas.

Prince Salman added that on-going bilateral visits between Bahrain and South Asian countries play an important role in bolstering all levels of bilateral relations.

The Sri Lankan Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the Crown Prince and emphasised Sri Lanka’s commitment to further strengthening ties with the Kingdom.
