Basil asserts SLFP rebels will form new alliance

Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa yesterday asserted that Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) members in the joint opposition will form a new political alliance.

He said that the new alliance will have a symbol under which it will contest future elections. SLFP joint opposition members have already decided to boycott the SLFP anniversary celebrations in Kurunegala over the weekend. (Colombo Gazette)
