Basil chairs Kandy District Coordinating Committee

Basil Rajapaksa, Minister of Economic Development participated at the Kandy District Coordinating Committee meeting at the Gannoruwa Plant Genetic Resources Centre in Kandy on Monday, 29 August 2011.

Rs. 6000 m was allocated for the proposed development projects in the Kandy District this year. The funds were for the Provincial road development project, Divi Neguma National Programme, Samurdhi programme and Gama Neguma project in the Kandy District in 2011.

Dissanayaka, Minister of Higher Education; Keheliya Rambukwella, Minister of Mass Media and Information;   Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Minister of Sports; S.M. Chandrasena, Minister of Agrarian Service and Wild life; Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Central Province Governor; Nirmala Kothalawala, Deputy Minister of Ports and highways; Earl Gunasekara, Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries; Kandy District MP Dilum Amunugama, members & Ministers of the Central Provincial Council and Heads of departments were present at the meeting.
