The Bishop of Colombo Rt. Rev. Diloraj Canagasabey paid a courtesy call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees this morning.
The two sides had discussions on regional and international issues of common concern.
The President and the Bishop also discussed ways to enhance reconciliation among all communities in the country.
The President while congratulating the new Bishop of Colombo said that his appointment was timely and a blessing to the country at large.
The Church will give its unwavering support to develop the country at this time of national reconciliation, the Bishop of Colombo said.
