Bribery Commission case against Sajin Vass postponed

The case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery of Corruption against former United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian and Monitoring MP of the Ministry of External Affairs Sajin de Vass Gunawardena was postponed until 15 September.

When the case was taken up before the Colombo Additional Magistrate yesterday, the Attorney appearing on his behalf requested more time to provide relevant documents to the case.

The Bribery Commission filed a case at the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court under Section 9 of the Declaration of Assets and Liabilities Law against Gunawardena last year because he failed to declare his assets during the period 2011 to 2012.
